How To Increase Testosterone

One of the biggest problems in which men never talk about is their dropping testosterone levels.  Many men suffer from low T symptoms, and don’t really realize there are actual tricks on  how to increase testosterone naturally.

It is clearly reported that testosterone levels drop 10% each decade, or 1% a year after age 35.  This gradual nose-dive can lead to a huge decrease in libido, lack of energy/stamina, and mental focus.  Men being men generally keep these symptoms to themselves, and do nothing, but get depressed.

Silently, there is a low testosterone epidemic occurring in the United States right now. How many times have you heard about menopause? A ton. How about andropause for men? Never! Yes, men are experiencing the same pain women feel, and really need to understand the secrets on how to increase testosterone naturally. It is about time we, as a nation, start recognizing low T as a significant challenge for men.

To back what I am implying please refer to the largest study of testosterone of its kind by Travison et al. The study reports a population-wide decline in Massachusett’s men’s testosterone levels during the last 20 years that is not related to normal aging or to health and lifestyle factors known to influence T levels. They found that testosterone concentrations dropped about 1.2% each year, or about 17% overall from 1987 to 2004.  I hope you agree, this is not good! Men are turning into girly-men.

Weight Loss Workout Program Errors

So you are on a weight loss workout program as a solution to melt away some unwanted body fat you may have. First off, I would like to congratulate you for taking action.  Incorporating a fitness program with a calorie reduced nutrition plan will yield fat loss results 3 to 5 times faster than only focusing on a calorie restrictive diet.

When starting your fat loss fitness program I know your enthusiasm is at an all time high. That is good. Now for the bad news. Your weight loss workout program is most likely riddled with concepts that are not evidence based. The result – lack of results, frustration, and eventually giving up. Yes, you are most likely doing things wrong!

Truth be told, the fat loss, and fitness industry is riddled with tons of misinformation, and anecdotal claims. It goes something like this. Your friend told you about a new fat loss workout that her friend used to lose 15 pounds. Therefore, it will work for you. Right?

Then you turn your television on at night and see an infomercial explaining how magic workout equipment will melt away belly fat faster than anything.

In between all of that you read that you should be on a vegan diet in order to lose weight fast.

Talk about confusion! Which way do you step? Not being clear generally leads to procrastination, and lack of action.

Confusion, and misinformation leads to not being on the most effective, efficient weight loss workout program possible. This results is lack of results, and ongoing frustration.

Trends In Fitness For 2012

So what new trends in fitness are we going to see in the year 2012?  Knowing the answer to this important question will keep you on the cutting edge when implementing your fitness  program. In order to answer this all important question I have turned to the 2012 exercise trends report from the ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine).  A survey of over 2600 fitness professionals revealed what is hot in fitness in 2012, and what is not.

As a fitness consumer you must be aware that the top spot goes to educated, and experienced fitness professionals. This is good news because consumers are not just hiring any personal trainer, but prefer the ones that have an exercise physiology/kinesiology degree, and/or certification from an organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). The top trend implies that health, and fitness consumers are getting smarter about what the industry has to offer. This means unqualified trainer Joe will soon be taking a backseat to qualified, and experienced Eddie.  As the exercise field becomes even more competitive the most qualified, and experienced pros will be the most sought after.

When looking for a personal trainer make sure the pro values continuing education. There are more opportunities available today than at any other time in history. Hire an educated, and experienced fitness professional. You will quickly realize the value.

Strength training is the number two trend on the list.  I don’t care what age you are, if you are not incorporating strength training into your workout program, then you are making a big mistake. Weight training, or resistance training is even more popular now than ever before. It is not just about bodybuilding, but functional strength. Fitness research comes out frequently addressing how important strength training is to all populations.  Is resistance training part of your workout program?
