There is a big problem in the biohacking, human performance, and health industry. People are putting the cart before the horse by not focusing on the fundamentals that will help them succeed - the proven, science-based foundations. Instead, they are reaching out for other things that are not backed by science to facilitate change, which is generally not effective because they lack the foundation.
I will discuss the four fundamental principles of biohacking that have been researched and studied. These must be incorporated before moving onto smaller, unproven techniques. This is the foundation - the bottom of the pyramid that must be laid before trying other things:
- Regular exercise - strength training, cardiovascular training, and flexibility.
- Healthy diet - including fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and staying hydrated with water.
- Sleep - focusing on both quality and quantity, aiming for at least 7 to 8 hours a night.
- Human connection - socialization and building connections with others to increase longevity and well-being.
